Welcome

Santa Train 2022

Welcome to the JP’s Ability Hope’s website.

Our not-for-profit 501c3 organization exists to bring hope & opportunities to thrive for people (of all ages) & families affected by physical, intellectual & developmental disabilities.

JP was the last addition to our family in 2011. We noticed that his development was different than that of his 3 older siblings.

In 2014 he was diagnosed in New Jersey with Autism several months before his 3rd birthday. We knew very little about disabilities at that time.

This led to our family moving back to the U.S. from France.

During the last 10 years, our family has learned a lot about the disability world.

The focus of my work has become Disability Ministry.

Because of JP, I’ve met thousands of people from around the world whose lives have a focus on disability. These include parents, siblings, educators, therapists, church leaders, volunteer buddies, etc.

All this is because God placed one special child in our lives.

Once I stopped asking, “Why?” and started asking, “What now?”, I saw this unexpected journey as a pathway to not just help JP, but many others as well.

JP is the inspiration, the face of JP’s Ability Hope. And so, his name is part of our name.

But we envision helping thousands of others individuals of all ages & in locations all over the world who need some hope.

We bring HOPE into the lives of people of all ages & of different ABILITIES & DISABILITIES.

We partner with churches, parachurch groups, businesses, schools, recreational/sport groups, housing projects, etc. with some of their initiatives that bring hope, love & joy to people & families impacted by disability.

We are based in New Jersey in the metro NYC region. We partner with some Disability Ministry projects in metro NYC, in the U.S. & in different locations worldwide.

France is also a priority place for our organization because of our family history there. I did a 3 week vision trip in France May 19 – June 8, 2023. I learned of the great need to develop with partners there to advance different disability ministry initiatives through churches, camps & respite programs there.

I returned to France in October to help at the first family camp for families affected by disability at the Centre des Jeunes in St. Lunaire in the Bretagne region. Six children with special needs & their mothers attended the initial weekend retreat. The follow up family camp here will be in October 2024.

We are a 501C3, not for profit ministry focused on people impacted by Special Needs. This is around 20% of the world population.

Donations can by given by Credit or Debit Card or by Electronic Fund Transfer from one’s bank account through Tithely, a secure & reliable site that serves 37,000 churches & ministries.
