Individuals & families affected by disability need a plethora of supports over the years.

No one organization holds every piece of the puzzle. Different skills, expertise & passions are needed.

Over the past 9 years, we have developed connections with many different people & organizations who expertise in different domains.

Here is a list of some of them.

  • Ability Ministry (Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee). Ryan Wolfe. Helps churches more effectively partner with people who have disabilities. Offers free consultations to help get started. Creates disability ministry curriculum, training videos, books & articles.
  • Abilities Workshop, Inc (Altamonte Spgs, Florida). Jeanetta Bryant. Provides publications, podcasts, workshops, & seminars to help special needs families learn the information they need to navigate a journey with emotional, financial and physical hardships.
  • AbilityTree (Arkansas, Florida, New Jersey). Joe & Jen Butler. Comes alongside families impacted by disability by providing R.E.S.T. (recreation, education, support & training).
  • All Belong Center for Inclusive Education (Wyoming, MI)
  • Arrowhead Bible Camp (Brackney, PA). Hosts Shepherd’s Camp for adults with developmental difficulties.
  • Autism Faith Network (Georgia). Tonya Nash. Spreads autism awareness, acceptance & inclusion in local and faith-based communities all over the world
  • Banquet Network, The (Columbia, MD). Empowers followers of Christ to welcome & integrate individuals & families impacted by disabilities into the life of the local & global church.
  • Benjamin’s Hope (Holland, MI). A “live, learn, play & worship” farmstead community where people of all abilities are transformed by the love of Christ. Hosts Sunday evening worship gatherings for people of all abilities.
  • Camp Orchard Hill (Dallas, PA). Director Jim Payne. Respite Saturday. COH has worked very hard to have their housing units, dining hall, gym, & walkways between building wheelchair accessible. I love their heart for inclusion in all their programming.
  • Champions4Parents: Marching for the Family (Lynchburg, VA). Tom & Julie Meekins. Provides love, support & resources to parents of individuals impacted by disabilities & special needs, & equips ministry folks who serve these families.
  • Dementia Institute (Grand Rapids, MI). Their Friends & Family Caregiver Course teaches participants about how dementia changes the brain and provides hands-on training for interacting with people living with dementia. 
  • Disability Ministry Network A network of denominational & para-church organizations who promote inclusive congregational ministries for & with people with disabilities, their families, friends, and caregivers. 
  • Engaging Disability (Lancaster, PA). Stephanie Hubach. Coaches churches to disciple & enfold kids, teens, & adults with disabilities. With roots in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), it provides coaching services to the broader Reformed community. Also publishes uniquely Reformed, adapted Bible resources that support the discipleship of people of all abilities.

  • Joni & Friends (Agoura Hills, CA, regional offices around the U.S.). Joni Eareckson Tada. Free tours of International Disability Center. U.S. & international family retreats. Wheelchair collection & distribution.
  • Key Ministry (Cleveland, OH). Steve Grcevich, Beth Golik. Promotes meaningful connection between churches and families of kids with disabilities for the purpose of making disciples of Jesus Christ. Hosts the annual Disability & the Church special needs conference. Monthly Idea Share zoom group for leaders worldwide.

  • LifeTown (Livingston, NJ). A 53,000 square foot fully inclusive and accessible center where everyone celebrates & experiences life together. The Shoppes is a simulation downtown with different stores where students with disabilities make choices on spending money & use real money. Indoor pool, play area, bowling alley.
  • Nathaniel’s Hope (Orlando, FL). Tim & Marie Kuck. Helps church provide monthly respite programs (called “Buddy Breaks“). Organizes a massive “Make ‘m Smile” Birthday Party every year in early May in Orlando, as well as smaller ones in California, North Carolina & Ohio.
  • 99 Balloons (Fayetteville, AR). Matt & Ginny Mooney. Helps churches provide monthly respite programs (called rEcess) for special needs families.
  • Overcomer Ministries (Strafford, MO). Charla Holst. Christ-centered occupational therapy consulting. Disability training for churches & ministries.
  • Pluckemin Medical Equipment Ministry (Pluckemin, NJ). Hospital beds, wheelchairs, scooters, motorized wheelchairs, crutches, canes, walkers, commodes, lifts, adult diapers, shower seats, bed rails, rolling tables, transport chairs, etc.
  • RISE Program at Judson University (Elgin, IL). A unique post-secondary education for students with intellectual difficulties. Judson University students provide support & learn how to work together ad learning advisors, vocational advisors & resident advisors to these students.
  • Rising Above Ministries (Cookeville, Tennessee). Becky Davidson. Brings hope, inspiration, encouragement, & community to special-needs families from around the world.  Provides “By the Brook,” an annual refreshing weekend just for moms, grandmothers, & female caregivers of individuals impacted by disabilities or chronic illness.
  • Shepherd’s College (Union Grove, WI). Tracy Terrill. The U.S.’s leading post-secondary school created with the learning needs of students with intellectual & developmental disabilities in mind.
  • SOAR Special Needs (Lenexa, KS). Stephen “Doc” Hunsley. SOAR provides respite, social clubs, summer day camps, Wonderfully Made Disability Conference, Employer Disability Training, & church resources. In the future, SOAR looks forward to providing employment training opportunities for adults/teens with disabilities, housing & related communities to support individuals with disabilities as they age, and much more!
  • Special Father’s Network (Barrington, IL). David Hirsch. A dad-to-dad mentoring program for fathers raising special needs children.
  • Tim Tebow Foundation (Jacksonville, FL). Creator in 2014 of the Night to Shine prom held the annually the Friday evening before Valentine’s Day (in February) for people 14+ with disabilities. Churches in all 50 states & 30+ countries hosted N2S in 2024.
  • Together We Care (Acworth, GA). Jillian Palmietto. Honors & supports the disability community through (1) Equipping organizations and faith communities to include people with disabilities, (2) Providing resources to families who have children with special needs, & (3) Assisting adults with disabilities in accomplishing their life goals. They also organize an annual “Together Conference” (special needs & disability inclusion ministry) in March in the Atlanta, Georgia area
  • Walk Right In Ministries (Maple Grove, MN). Larry & Lisa Jamieson. Helps caregivers in special needs families walk abundantly in life, faith & relationships.  Offer online counseling for individuals, marriages, & families as well as faith-based caregiver support groups.
  • Western Seminary Center for Disability & Ministry (Holland, MI). Ben Conner, Carlos Thompson. Exists to support ministry leaders of all abilities in nurturing & receiving the gifts & contributions of persons with disabilities through formal opportunities, including theological education, consultation, forums & publications. Graduate Certificate, M.A. & D.Min. programs in Disability & Ministry. Friendship House.
  • Wheaton Center for Faith & Disability (Wheaton, IL). Thomas Boehm. Based at Wheaton College near Chicago, it resources schools, congregations & parachurch organizations to fully embrace all people – regardless of ability – in education, worship, and organizational life.
  • With Ministries Rebecca Wall & Victoria White. We seek to build church communities where congregations are truly with people experiencing disability, where all are known, have opportunities to serve and lead, and worship alongside fellow believers.
  • Wonderful Works (Ohio). Barbara Stanley. Equips churches to serve families affected by disability through free consultations, training videos & encouragement.
  • Young Life Capernaum (Clubs scattered throughout the U.S. for students 14-23 with disabilities)
